Moroccan mining group Managem resumed trading on the Casablanca Stock Exchange on Tuesday, November 3, following a suspension that began October 30 amid unconfirmed market information concerning its shares.

In a statement, the company said the suspension was requested after unverified information circulated following changes to the composition of the MASI benchmark index.

Managem said the decision was intended to ensure equal access to information for all investors.

The group stressed that no significant event capable of affecting its share price had occurred or been brought to its attention.

It also maintained that its financial position, operating performance, business activities and outlook remained unchanged from previously disclosed information, particularly its half-year financial results.

Following a statement issued by the Casablanca Stock Exchange on October 31 clarifying the MASI index composition, Managem requested the resumption of trading.

The company’s shares returned to the market at Tuesday’s opening session.
