Royal Air Maroc (RAM) will launch a new domestic air route connecting Casablanca and Essaouira on November 1, 2026, offering two weekly round-trip flights at a fixed, subsidized fare of MAD 400 per one-way economy ticket.
The service is part of a partnership involving the ministries of Transport, Interior, and Economy and Finance, alongside regional authorities in Marrakech-Safi and the national airline.
Transport Minister Abdessamad Kayouh said the new route forms part of RAM’s strategy to expand domestic connectivity ahead of 2030 and make air travel more affordable.
André Azoulay, adviser to King Mohammed VI and founding president of the Essaouira-Mogador Association, said the connection would support tourism and economic development while promoting Essaouira’s cultural heritage.
The route is intended to improve access to the coastal city and strengthen connections between Casablanca and Morocco’s regional destinations.
