Royal Air Maroc will operate 12 special flights between Casablanca and Houston to carry Moroccan supporters to the national team’s World Cup round-of-16 match against Canada, the airline announced.
The flights will provide more than 3,000 seats, with round-trip economy tickets priced at a fixed MAD 10,000 including taxes. The tickets cannot be changed or refunded.
The operation will mark Royal Air Maroc’s first service to Houston, where Morocco will face Canada in the knockout stage after eliminating the Netherlands.
The national carrier said the flights were designed to help supporters travel to the United States and accompany the Atlas Lions during what it described as a decisive stage of the tournament.
Royal Air Maroc, the official carrier of Morocco’s national team, also praised the squad’s qualification and said its World Cup campaign had reinforced Morocco’s position among leading football nations.
Tickets went on sale Wednesday, July 1, through Royal Air Maroc sales offices and a dedicated booking platform established for the operation.
The airline has used additional long-haul services throughout the tournament to respond to strong demand from Moroccan supporters travelling to North America.
