Moroccan players have entered FIFA’s individual World Cup power rankings across three positions, with Ismael Saibari, Achraf Hakimi and Yassine Bounou listed among the tournament’s leading performers before Morocco’s quarter-final against France.
Saibari ranked 14th among midfielders with a 6.51 score, according to FIFA’s data-based ranking system, which measures outfield players across attacking, creative and defensive indicators.
Hakimi placed ninth among defenders with a 6.97 score, reflecting his role in Morocco’s defensive structure and attacking build-up during the tournament.
Bounou ranked 10th among goalkeepers with a 7.01 score, based on FIFA’s goalkeeper metrics covering shot-stopping and play with the ball.
The spread gives Morocco representation in goal, defence and midfield, underscoring the balance behind the Atlas Lions’ run to the last eight.
FIFA introduced the power ranking system at the 2026 World Cup to update individual player ratings after each match, combining match-by-match scores with a cumulative tournament rating.
Morocco reached the quarter-finals after beating Canada 3-0 and will face France on Thursday at Boston Stadium.
