Morocco’s Ministry of Health and Social Protection has regularized the administrative and financial status of 88 percent of resident doctors as of Feb. 25, 2026, according to updated official data.
A monthly settlement bulletin issued by the ministry’s human resources directorate shows that 937 files out of 1,060 have been processed, leaving 96 under review and 27 pending. The measure concerns the April 9, 2025 cohort of resident doctors.
The ministry also confirmed the full administrative and financial regularization of all successful candidates recruited under 6,500 budgeted posts allocated for the 2025 fiscal year.
For nurses and health technicians, 4,741 files out of 5,210 have been settled, representing a 91 percent completion rate. Eighty nine files remain under review and 380 are pending.
The directorate said the process required technical and administrative measures in coordination with the Treasury General of the Kingdom and joint administrative committees. The approach aims to implement Decree No. 2.17.535 of 2017 and its amended version No. 2.22.681 of 2022.
The ministry reported that 8,573 health professionals were promoted in grade or rank. It also regularized the status of 402 scientific assistants by integrating them into a new statutory framework under Decree No. 2.23.1195, following sectoral social dialogue agreements.
Regarding specialty compensation, 150 of 531 specialist doctors’ files, or 28 percent, have been settled, with 70 under review and 311 pending. The directorate said it is contacting applicants to complete missing information.
