France 24’s Arabic service issued a correction after broadcasting information based on a social media post falsely attributed to Morocco’s foreign minister, Nasser Bourita.

In a statement on X, France 24 acknowledged that the post, broadcast on the channel’s “Wajhan li Wajh” program, originated from a fake account and was mistakenly presented as authentic.

The channel apologized for the error and said the content did not come from any official or verified account linked to the Moroccan Foreign Ministry, stressing the need for stricter verification of online sources.
