Spain’s Consulate General in Rabat has updated its visa application procedures, introducing new appointment schedules and direct submission arrangements for Schengen and long-stay visas under instructions dated October 23, 2026.
For short-stay Schengen visas, appointments through BLS will open on Tuesdays at 5 p.m. for certain first-time training applicants, Wednesdays at 4 p.m. for applicants who held a Schengen visa within the previous four years, and Saturdays at 1 p.m. for other applicants.
Certain categories may submit applications directly at the BLS centre on weekday mornings without booking online, subject to eligibility requirements.
For long-stay visas covering employment, family reunification and residence, procedures vary by application category, with some requiring direct contact with the consulate.
Applicants undertaking training lasting more than 90 days may submit their files directly on Mondays without an appointment.
