Police in Agadir said Saturday they arrested a man near Taroudant after a video circulated online showing him brandishing knives in a manner that posed a threat to people and property.
Authorities said investigations carried out in coordination with the General Directorate of Territorial Surveillance led to the suspect’s identification. He was later detained in the rural area of Mchraa El-Ain, on the outskirts of Taroudant.
The man has been placed under judicial investigation by the Taroudant regional police, under the supervision of the public prosecutor’s office, to determine the circumstances and motives behind the incident.
