Royal Air Maroc  will launch a new direct route between Casablanca and Sal Island in Cape Verde starting September 18, the airline announced. The service will operate twice weekly, on Thursdays and Sundays, using Embraer E190 aircraft.

According to RAM, the connection offers travelers direct access to a fast-growing beach destination famed for its white sand shores, vibrant local culture, and year-round sunshine. The airline emphasized that the route caters to both leisure tourism and economic ties, with Sal increasingly positioned as a leading resort destination in Africa.

For Morocco, the new link strengthens access to one of the continent’s emerging tourism hubs and is expected to boost trade and international passenger flows transiting through Casablanca’s hub. Authorities highlighted the island’s cultural appeal, including traditional festivals, seafood cuisine, and Creole music, as key attractions for travelers seeking exotic seaside escapes.
