A 12-year-old boy, identified as A.B., has tragically died after being bitten by a venomous snake. The incident took place at his family’s home in the Sidi Amghit area, part of Ghayata Gharbia in Taza province.
The boy, a sixth-grade student, was taken to Ibn Baja Provincial Hospital in Taza on Thursday. He was in critical condition after being initially seen at the Oued Amlil health center.
Medical staff reported that the snake’s venom spread rapidly through his body, largely due to the delay in getting him to the hospital. Despite being admitted to the intensive care unit and receiving anti-venom, the young boy passed away. He suffered from severe bleeding and lost consciousness before his death.
