Morocco marks the 22nd birthday of Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan on Thursday, May 9, an event celebrated nationwide as a symbol of unity between the monarchy and the Moroccan people.

Born on May 8, 2003, the crown prince carries the legacy of Sultan Moulay Hassan I and King Hassan II, reflecting the continuity and stability of the Alaouite dynasty.

Over the past year, Moulay El Hassan has played a growing public role, presiding over major events such as the International Agriculture Fair in Meknes, launching the Ramadan 1446 solidarity campaign, and welcoming global leaders, including Chinese President Xi Jinping.

He has also been active in military and environmental initiatives, notably the launch of Africa’s largest desalination plant in Casablanca.

The celebration highlights not only his personal milestones but also the importance of the crown prince as a symbol of Morocco’s dynastic continuity and future national leadership.
