Morocco’s Under-17 national football team has qualified for the semi-finals of the Africa Cup of Nations after defeating South Africa 3-1 on Thursday. The quarter-final match took place at El Bachir Stadium in Mohammedia.

The Moroccan team started the game strongly, putting pressure on their opponents from the beginning. Their attacking efforts paid off when Ismail El Oued scored the opening goal in the 13th minute of the first half.

South Africa did not sit back after conceding. They created several chances and looked dangerous at times, but Morocco’s alert defense and goalkeeper prevented them from scoring before halftime.

In the second half, Morocco continued searching for a second goal to secure their lead. However, they were surprised when South Africa’s Neo Bohloko scored the equalizer in the 54th minute.

Morocco’s determination to qualify became evident after conceding the goal. The team responded quickly, scoring two goals in quick succession. Ziad Baha found the net in both the 61st and 62nd minutes.

The score remained unchanged for the rest of the match, ending 3-1 and securing Morocco’s place in the semi-finals.

In the next round, Morocco will play the winner of the quarter-final match between Ivory Coast and Senegal, which is scheduled for Friday in Berrechid.
