Karim Klaibi, a member of the steering and monitoring committee for Mohammed V Stadium in Casablanca, has announced the completion of the pitch resurfacing as part of the ongoing renovation efforts at the historic sports complex.

In a statement to Hesport, Klaibi confirmed that the playing surface is now in excellent condition following the re-turfing process. Meanwhile, work continues on refurbishing the athletics track surrounding the field.

The steering and monitoring committee is closely overseeing all stages of the renovation to ensure the project meets quality standards and stays on schedule. This initiative is part of Morocco’s broader efforts to enhance its sports infrastructure ahead of the Africa Cup of Nations, set to take place at the end of the year.

During a recent site visit, Fouzi Lekjaa, president of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation, reaffirmed that Mohammed V Stadium will be fully ready to host matches by the end of March. The upgrade further strengthens the venue’s preparedness for both domestic and international competitions.
