French President Emmanuel Macron and Moroccan Head of Government Aziz Akhannouch jointly inaugurated the 2025 International Agricultural Show in Paris today, marking the event’s official opening by cutting the symbolic ribbon.
Morocco’s participation is underscored by a prominent delegation, including the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries, Rural Development, and Water and Forests, Ahmed El Bouari, and Moroccan Ambassador to Paris, Samira Sitaïl.
The delegation also includes numerous key figures from Morocco’s agricultural sector, as well as members of the French government. This special recognition of Morocco emphasizes its significant role in the agricultural field, particularly in the areas of smart and sustainable agriculture, positioning the country as a regional and continental leader.
This momentous occasion highlights the growing partnership between France and Morocco, with the latter being honored as the first foreign guest of honor at this year’s exhibition.
The 2025 International Agricultural Show, running from February 22 to March 2, serves as a powerful symbol of the exceptional bilateral relations between France and Morocco.
Morocco will be present at this major event with a central pavilion of 476 m², showcasing, among other things, certified products from Moroccan terroirs, crafted by cooperatives with centuries-old expertise, as well as agricultural products that reflect the richness and diversity of this sector.
Under the theme “A French Pride”, the 61st International Agricultural Show will welcome over 600,000 visitors. Around 4,000 animals will be on display, and 1,000 exhibitors will be present across 16 hectares, where 9 pavilions will be set up.
This celebration of Morocco at the International Agricultural Show in Paris is part of an ongoing exchange between the two countries.
In a reciprocal gesture, France will be the guest of honor at the International Agricultural Show in Meknes, Morocco, next April, further strengthening the symbolic ties between them and reinforcing their commitment to collaboration in the agricultural sector.
