In a bid to strengthen Moroccan-Emirati cooperation in the field of civil aviation, Morocco’s Minister of Transport and Logistics, Abdessamad Kayouh, held talks, on Tuesday in Abu Dhabi, with the United Arab Emirates’ (UAE) Minister of Economy, Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri.
The meeting, held on the sidelines of the 4th Global Implementation Support Symposium for Civil Aviation (GISS 2025) held in Abu Dhabi, provided an opportunity to review developments in the civil aviation sector, as well as opportunities to promote Moroccan-Emirati cooperation in this field, Kayouh told MAP.
This meeting with Al Marri, who is also Chairman of the Board of Directors of the UAE’s General Authority for Civil Aviation (GACA), also provided an opportunity to discuss projects underway in Morocco in preparation for the 2030 World Cup and other sporting events, as well as the Kingdom’s efforts to promote this sector, the Minister added.
It also provided an opportunity to promote Morocco’s bid to host the next edition of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) Conference, the Minister noted, adding that the Kingdom has a strong chance of hosting this event in Marrakech in 2026.
The Kingdom is represented at GISS 2025, co-organized by GACA and ICAO, by a large delegation led by Kayouh.
