Ayyoub Bouaddi, a 17-year-old rising star at Lille, has reportedly chosen to represent Morocco at the international level, turning down the opportunity to play for France.
The young midfielder, who is considered a top prospect in Ligue 1, has been attracting attention from both national teams. While France hoped to secure his services, Bouaddi is said to have informed the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) of his desire to play for Morocco’s national team.
According to French media reports, Bouaddi is expected to be included in Morocco’s squad for the upcoming 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, barring any unforeseen circumstances.
