Moroccan midfielder Ayyoub Bouaddi drew praise from English media after setting up a goal in Manchester City’s 5-0 win over Norwich City in the League Cup on Thursday.
Bouaddi supplied the pass for Rayan Cherki’s 32nd-minute goal, doubling City’s lead three minutes after Floyd Samba opened the scoring.
City news website Esteemed Kompany praised Bouaddi’s composure in possession and positioning when Norwich had the ball, highlighting his ability to read play and find space in midfield.
The Guardian described his involvement in the second goal, receiving the ball from Samba before finding Cherki, who beat the Norwich goalkeeper. Football website 101 Great Goals also highlighted the assist.
Allan added City’s third in the 48th minute, Samba scored again six minutes later and Ryan McAidoo completed the scoring in the 90th.
