Royal Air Maroc has recently expanded its fleet with the addition of two new Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners, registered as CN-RHA, acquired following the withdrawal of a competing bid from Canadian airline WestJet.
The two Dreamliners are expected to join Royal Air Maroc’s fleet by December 2024.
The airline also has plans to lease an additional ten aircraft (comprising both 737 MAX and 787-9 Dreamliner models) from General Electric’s leasing arm, GECAS, in 2025.
As part of its broader fleet expansion strategy, Royal Air Maroc has issued requests for proposals to acquire 180 new aircraft, aiming to reach a total fleet size of 200 aircraft.
The initial deliveries for this significant procurement are anticipated to commence in late 2026.
