The luggage of over one hundred passengers has been returned after a delay caused by a cockroach infestation discovered in the cargo hold of a Royal Air Maroc flight that arrived in Manchester from Morocco, according to British news outlet The Independent.
The same source mentioned that these holidaymakers who returned from Morocco last week are still awaiting its arrival.
“Mine is a soft Antler suitcase, so I’m feeling super anxious that the cockroaches will have easily found a way inside to lay eggs or similar – especially as they are known to be incredibly resilient and difficult to get rid of, apparently surviving nuclear wars,” said Gee, who discovered on Monday morning—five days after the infestation was detected—that her baggage was still at Casablanca Airport, according to her AirTag.
But she stated that although she wanted her belongings back, she wasn’t willing to take any risks by bringing them into her home.
After consulting with colleagues, she was advised not to take the risk and to consider simply burning the items instead.
