Casablanca’s Ain Sebaa Zoo is facing new challenges delaying its opening to the public.
According to Hespress sources, the company awarded the contract to manage the zoo has demanded an annual payment of approximately MAD400 million from the municipality to avoid potential losses.
This unexpected demand has left the Casablanca City Council in a difficult position, as it had anticipated the Dream Village company would begin managing the zoo and acquiring animals for the opening soon.
Hespress sources from the Council expressed concern, noting that such a large expenditure would strain the municipal budget and prompting the council to seek ways to address this issue.
