Condolences from the Algerian President following death of Lalla Latifa

Following news of the death of Princess Lalla Latifa, mother of King Mohammed VI, Algerian President Abdelmajid Tebboune sent a message of condolence to the Sovereign.

In the message, Tebboune stated that he had learned of the sad news with great sorrow, expressing on his own behalf and that of the Algerian people his sincere condolences to the King.

He also implored the Almighty “to surround the deceased with His holy mercy, to welcome her into His vast paradise among His most faithful followers, and to grant the Sovereign, as well as the entire august royal family, patience and comfort to overcome this painful ordeal. We are God’s and to Him we return.”
