Spanish newspaper Marca said Brahim Diaz, player for the Spanish football team Real Madrid, has decided to play for Morocco.
In a tweet on X, Marca said that “Ibrahim Diaz chose to play with the Atlas Lions and represent Morocco.”
The Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) has formally notified Real Madrid that Brahim Diaz has been included in the preliminary list of players summoned by Walid Regragui for the March assembly.
Marca asserts that Real Madrid’s leadership has received documentation from the FRMF confirming the pre-selection of their promising talent.
The 24-year-old forward had already initiated acquiring dual nationality to become eligible to represent Morocco.
