Morocco’s Brahim Díaz is now among the leading creators at the 2026 World Cup, sitting second in the tournament’s assist ranking after the round of 16.
The FIFA leaderboard lists France’s Michael Olise first with five assists, followed by Brazil’s Bruno Guimarães and Díaz on four each. FOX Sports’ tournament stats also place Díaz third overall, level with Guimarães on four assists from five matches.
Díaz’s contribution has made him one of Morocco’s most important attacking outlets during their run to the quarterfinals, where the Atlas Lions will face France. His passing and movement between lines have been central to Morocco’s ability to create chances without relying only on wide play.
Several players remain close behind on three assists, including Alexander Isak, Martin Ødegaard and Bukayo Saka. Olise is now one assist away from matching Pelé’s single-tournament World Cup record of six assists, set in 1970.
