Hespress English wishes its readers a happy Amazigh new year. This year marks the 2974 year on the Amazigh calendar, which falls on January 14 of each year.
This year is the first to see Moroccans celebrate the Amazigh New Year as a public holiday, similar to Fatih Muharram for the Hijra and New Year, as ordered by King Mohammed VI.
