David Fincher and a few A-listers confirmed attending the Venice Film Festival amid the ongoing Hollywood strikes

The Venice Film Festival kicks off on Wednesday amidst the writers and actors strike in Hollywood, which is why only a few A-list celebrities are expected to walk the red carpet of the prestigious cinema celebration.

David Fincher, whose film “The Killer” is competing at the festival will be attending.

When Fincher last attended the Venice Film Festival, he premiered the psychological thriller thriller “Fight Club”. This year, he makes a comeback with an adaptation of the Alexis Nolent and Luc Jacamon French graphic novel, starring Michael Fassbender

It has been officially confirmed that Adam Driver, Oscar winner Jessica Chastain, Caleb Landry Jones, and Mads Mikkelsen are among the stars attending the festival this year.

The actors Cailee Spaeny and Jacob Elordi, who portray Priscilla and Elvis Presley in Sophia Coppola’s “Priscilla”, as well as Priscilla Presley herself, are also anticipated at the festival.

Since the few movies whose actors will be there had independent productions and weren’t made by AMPTP (Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers) members, they were granted SAG-AFTRA (Screen Actors Guild – American Federation of Television and Radio Artists) interim waivers.

None of the studio film premieres in the competition this year, including Fincher’s “The Killer”, “Maestro”, and “Poor Things”, are expected to have any of their casts there.
