A cooperation agreement was signed on Thursday in Santiago between the Mohammed VI Cultural Center for the Dialogue of Civilizations and the Institute of International Studies of the University of Chile, with the aim of strengthening cooperation between the two countries in the academic, cultural and scientific fields.
The agreement was initialed by the Moroccan ambassador to Chile, Kenza El Ghali, and the president of the Institute of International Studies of the University of Chile, Dorotea López Giral, on the premises of the prestigious Chilean university, which occupies a prominent position in world university rankings.
The main missions of the Institute of International Studies of the University of Chile are research and teaching in international relations, law, economics and political science.
This agreement, signed with the best universities in the South American country, aims to establish the general bases for academic, cultural and scientific cooperation between the two parties and with Moroccan universities in the fields of education, culture and science. It also aims to promote academic exchanges of students and researchers through the implementation of joint projects.
With this signature, the two parties also undertake to create the “Kingdom of Morocco Chair”, which will aim to strengthen studies, knowledge and dialogue on Morocco, its influence and its relations with Africa, Latin America and other regions of the world.
The Kingdom of Morocco Chair will highlight the main aspects of Moroccan cultural diversity, with particular emphasis on its present and future.
On this occasion, the Ambassador of the Kingdom donated to the library of the University of Chile several books and publications published by the Mohammed VI Cultural Center for the Dialogue of Cultures, located in Coquimbo (461 km north of Santiago).
The Mohammed VI Center for the Dialogue of Cultures is a unique space that aims to build cultural bridges between Morocco and Chile in particular, and between the Kingdom and Latin America in general.
