Casablanca authorities have reportedly canceled the upcoming concert of French rapper Ninho, which was scheduled to take place on June 24.

According to a document obtained by Hespress, the governor of Casablanca’s Maarif district sent a letter to the Mohammed V Sports Complex director stating that the request to organize the rapper’s performance was not accepted.

The decision was made following a meeting of the security committee of the Casablanca-Anfa prefecture, where all members expressed their refusal to allow the concert.

This cancellation follows the recent controversy surrounding the cancellation of another French rapper’s concert, Booba, due to a campaign calling for his boycott over lyrics some deemed offensive to Moroccan women.
