To Understand “masculine groups,” such as The Red Pill movement, and their hostility toward women, researcher Abdellah Farah of Ibn Tofail University in Kenitra conducted a study using a sociology approach, and shared shocking revelations.

These online groups seek to theorize masculinity in the virtual world, through their adherence to the philosophy of the Red Pill, first introduced in the movie “The Matrix”, as they’re trying to use it to liberate men from feminist domination.

It is a movement that relies heavily on endless claims against women, such as the accusation that women are by nature manipulative and self-centered and that feminism has given them social dominance over men.

The researcher joined Moroccan Red Pill groups:

Published on Maysaloon for culture, translation, and publishing, the study which shows the findings of the researcher, who immersed himself in several Red Pill groups, explained how those men are spread on a global level.

The study emphasized the ideas propagated by Moroccan Red Pillers all over social media platforms, as they constantly spread their sexist ideologies.

The Red Pill movement can be seen as a group that rejects modern and progressive feminism.

Accordingly, the issue of marriage to an employed or working woman is an integral part of the discussion in the “Red Bull” groups worldwide.

This community does not necessarily oppose marriage and union with women, but it promotes the idea that women seek to exploit men in various ways, by considering ‘feminism’ as a sexual strategy that women use.

“On the other hand, members of the group say that women have been brainwashed by feminists; where no one can deny the role played by women’s movements in portraying the institution of marriage as slavery for women under the pretext of gender equality, by alienating women from marriage and encouraging them to have sex outside of it, which harmed them and made them ‘cheap’ in front of men,” reads the research.

A deeper dive into the community:

Red Pillers are now using their community to garner some tips about dating or marriage, all of which are of conservative tendencies.

However, some discussions take place in these groups, which tend to use a more extreme discourse, such as the use of verbal abuse towards women.

Those groups are classifying men into Sigma, Beta, and Alpha. Not only, but they also created a category called “Alpha Widow”, which they consider to be the “creepies” type of women.

The group warns against Alpha Widows, who are reportedly, beautiful women, who are associated with and used to date Alpha men because allegedly, the effect of Alpha Men on a woman is profound.

Moroccan Red Pillers’ hate towards working women:

The Moroccan activist Ilias El Khraisi, nicknamed “Sheikh Saar,” created a group on Facebook called “Moroccans Against Marriage to Female Employees,” in which more than 57,000 people joined.

He considered that working women fail at being good mothers in Moroccan society, explaining that his preference for housewives stems from their pivotal role in raising children and taking care of chores.

This exposed him to a wave of criticism from women and advocates of women’s rights, leading up to deleting the group he created.

Although the group was deleted, the campaign was adopted by Red Pill activists in Morocco and the Arab world in general.

Red Pillers’ crippling anxiety, comes from their strong belief that women are more prone to cheating than men, as the study’s findings say that those men believe that women do so whether they work in the public or the private sector.

In their belief, the employed woman is often more in contact with men, as she lives with the possibility of being coerced to submission by her boss or manager for fear of losing her job.

A woman staying at home is seen by the Moroccan Red Pill community as a godly act that helps control her behavior and actions.

They also believe that the main motivation for a man to make a woman stay at home is to shield her from “the moral decay encouraged by groups that support Muslim women’s oppression, such as feminism.”
