The French government will grant a bilateral loan of 100 million euros to Ukraine to help it meet its priority financing needs, announced the French Ministry of Economy and Finance.
“Financial assistance to Ukraine plays a crucial role in supporting the country’s economic stability and the continuity of public services,” Bercy said in a statement. “It also contributes to the maintenance of essential infrastructure.”
The disbursement of the funds, which will be paid in the next few days, according to Bercy, was agreed on Monday during a videoconference meeting between French Economy Minister Bruno Le Maire, his Ukrainian counterpart Serhii Marchenko and the French Development Agency (AFD).
This second budget loan is in addition to a 300 million euro loan granted in March.
