Google’s logo Doodle is celebrating this Friday the Moroccan 67th anniversary of independence day.

The search engine platform took the opportunity to commemorate the symbolism of the kingdom’s historic national epic, marking efforts in the defense of its sacred values.

Celebrated every November 18, the Independence Day commemorates the illustrious speech of the late Mohammed V, announcing the end of the protectorate and the liberation of the Fatherland from the yoke of French colonialism.

The event resulted in liberal and progressive steps, in addition to values of pluralism, democracy, openness, tolerance, and solidarity.

“This work was continued by his successor, the late Hassan II, who worked throughout his reign to lay the foundations of a modern, and united Morocco from Tangier to Lagouira, and to ensure a place of choice, through projects and policies that structure all areas affecting the daily life of Moroccan citizens,” said MAP.

The process continues under the leadership of King Mohammed VI.
