Government Spokesperson Mustapha Baitas commented on the the case of Imam Hassan Iquioussen during a press conference on Thursday.

“The media is not the appropriate place to discuss this type of case,” said the official.

“These issues are discussed in the context of partnership agreements between states, including consular agreements between countries,” said Baitas in response to journalists’ questions on this case.

France ordered Iquioussen’s deportation to Morocco. Yesterday, the kingdom suspended the authorization to receive the Moroccan preacher, after his expulsion from France was validated by the Council of State.

Hassan Iquioussen, a Moroccan national born in France, left the French territory to an unknown destination.
