The Moroccan Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs announced that the first day of the month of Muharram for the 1444th Hijri year will be tomorrow, Saturday, July 30, 2022.
Therefore the tenth of the holy month of Muharram, which is the occasion of Ashura, will be Monday, August 8th.
It is worth noting that the first day of the holy month of Muharram, which marks the beginning of the new Hijri, islamic year, is an official holiday in Morocco, as in a number of countries in the Islamic world.
Hespress English wishes all its readers and the Moroccan people a happy new year.
