Fuel prices in Morocco continue to rise
Saturday 2 July 2022 - 20:46

Fuel prices this Saturday increased an approximate 50 centimes per liter, to reach MAD 16.50.

Diesel exceeded the MAD 16 mark only a few days ago, in light of a continuous rise in prices since the beginning of this year.

Today, Saturday, there was no increase in the price of gasoline, which remained at MAD 17.80 per liter, nearing the MAD 18 mark.

In light of the continuous rise in fuel prices, the scenario of reaching MAD 20 per liter is close to becoming a reality.

In the face of these continuous rises and their impact on the purchasing power of citizens, the government announced direct support for road transport professionals.

Despite the direct support approved by the government, a number of professional unions in the transport sector announced a strike after Eid al-Adha.
