The Atlas Lions have a very low chance to win the 2022 World Cup finds  “OPTA Sports”, a British sports analytics company.

Applying Artificial Intelligence capacities to assess, draw results, and provide estimations via teams’ performances, OPTA Sports delivers solid odds for all the contenders taking part in the upcoming world cup held in Qatar.

According to statistics revealed by OPTA Sports, Morocco has a chance of 0.01% to win the golden cup. The British company ranked Morocco in the 28th place among the contenders for the title, tied with one of its opponents in the group stage, Canada, which also has a 0.01% chance.

For the other two opponents in Morocco’s group stage, Belgium came 5th in the order of title contenders, with 7.90% chances. Croatia positioned 10th with a 2.03% chance.

In the category of the highest winning odds for the world title, France has a 17.93% chance of a win, followed by Brazil (15.73%), Spain (11.53%), and England (8.03%).

“OPTA Sports is a platform dedicated to anticipating results by the performances and history of their teams taking into account the achievements, title attainments and triumphs to set a neutral and unbiased estimation,” Rachidi Soufiane, TV Presenter and Commentator for Arryadia said in a statement to Hespress EN.

“It is no surprise that we have a 0.01% chance with the team’s current performance. Only if the coach reviews his player selection, only then we would increase our chances” Rachidi said.

The British-based company estimated a slimmer chance to win the title than the previous world cup held in 2018 when it confined Morocco to a 0.5% chance to win the world cup.
