Through an official memorandum, the Ministry of Equipment, Transport, and Logistics announced the resumption of cruises between Morocco and Spain in a total adherence to the safety protocols approved by health authorities.
The memorandum in question, which was issued by the Direction of the Merchant Marine, called on any shipping company operating in Tangier Med, Tangiers Medina, Nador, and Al Hoceima ports to resume passenger transport.
Moreover, the document, which Hespress received, emphasized the need to adhere to the health security protocols of both Morocco and Spain (through a health form to be downloaded and submitted before boarding the trip). Moreover, Moroccan residents will have to provide vaccination proof or a negative covid-19 test result of no more than 72 hours from the boarding date.
This joint statement comes as a result of the talks between King Mohammed IV and the head of the Spanish government, Pedro Sanchew. It officially allows the total resumption of free movement of people and goods, in addition to the ensuing customs arrangements. Consequently, preparations are underway for Operation Marhaba 2020, planned for next summer.
