German police said Tuesday they have shut down the servers of Hydra, a sales site for Russian-speaking customers that was accessible via the darknet, and seized bitcoins worth 23 million euros ($25 million).

Unknown suspects are being investigated for “operating criminal trading platforms on the internet on a commercial basis” selling narcotics among other things, the BKA federal police said in a statement.
