Industry manufacturers in Morocco anticipate an increase in sales for the next three months, according to Bank Al-Maghrib’s (BAM) survey results for the month of November.
“For the next three months, companies expect production to remain stable, and sales to increase,” according to BAM’s data results, collected from December 1 to 29, 2021.
66% of manufacturers expect a rise in sales, while 24% say they are unaware of future production plans, and 36% say they are unaware of sales plans, according to the same source.
Additionally, the BAM’s survey results demonstrated an increase in activity from one month to the next. Similarly, production is expected to increase and the Production Capacity Utilization Rate (TUC) to reach 73%, a slight increase from 72% in the previous month.
Sales are also expected to increase, while orders are expected to remain stable, and the use of notebooks for taking orders is expected to decrease, according to BAM.
In terms of sectors, production is expected to increase in“chemistry and para chemistry”, “mechanics and metallurgy” and in “electrical and electronics,” and will remain stable for “agro-food” and “textiles, and leather” sectors.
As for sales, the sectors that are expected to record an increase are “mechanics and metallurgy,” “chemicals and para chemistry” and “electrical and electronics. ”The agro-food” sector is expected to remain stable, and a decrease is expected to be recorded in the “textile and leather” sector.
In relation to notebooks used for taking orders, the results showed that their use would be less common in all sectors, except for the “electrical and electronic” industries.
