Casablanca stock exchange opens slightly up

The Casablanca Stock Exchange began Wednesday’s session slightly up, with its main index Masi, rising by 0.07% to 13,291.55 points.

The MSI 20, an index comprising the 20 most liquid stocks, remained almost stable 0.03% to 1,080.94 points, and the Madex, a compact index made up of stocks, recorded a slight increase of 0.08 % to 10,749.56 points.

The Casablanca ESG 10, the Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) benchmark index, fell slightly by 0.03% to 992.75 points.

On the upside, Alliances recorded the largest increase (+2.55% to MAD38.97), ahead of CIH (+ 2.39% to MAD338), and Miniere Touissit (+ 1.75% to MAD1.740).

In contrast, S.M Monétique showed the highest drop (3.37% to MAD198.1), followed by SMI with (1.18% to MAD1.502), and Med Paper (0.81% to MAD22.02).

As of yesterday, Casablanca Stock Exchange began the session slightly down, with Masi, dropping by 0.15% to 13,222.22 points.
