House of Representatives limits number of deputies during sessions

The House of Representatives issued a decision to reduce the number of deputies present in plenary sessions, part of measures aimed at limiting crowding amid the emergence of the fourth wave in the country.

During a recent meeting, Rachid Talbi Alami, Speaker of the House of Representatives and heads of parliamentary teams decided to limit sessions to 110 deputies, Hespress sources said.

The House of Representatives had previously imposed vaccine passes on parliamentarians.

As of Monday, the Ministry of Health registered 291 confirmed new infections and 4 new deaths.
