Casablanca stock exchange opens slightly down

The Casablanca Stock Exchange began Tuesday’s session slightly down in the first exchanges, with its index of all stocks, Masi, down by 0.11%, to 13,222.41 points.

The Morocco Stock Index (MSI 20), an index comprising the 20 most liquid stocks, dropped by 0.12% to 1.075.41 points, and the Madex, a compact index made up of stocks, dropped by 0.11% to 10.692.5 points.

The Casablanca ESG 10, the Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) benchmark index, dropped by 0.16 %, at 985.28 points.

On the upside, Med Paper recorded the largest increase (+ 3.67% to MAD23.15), ahead of Stroc Industrie (+ 2.39% to MAD38.5), and Stokvis Nord Afrique (+ 1.88% to MAD16.3).

In contrast, SNEP showed the highest drop (-3.44% to MAD727), followed by Alliances (-1.34% to MAD38.92), and BCP (-0.84% to MAD277.6).

As of yesterday at the closing, the Masi index finished down by 0.05% to 13.236.39 points.
