FIFA Arab Cup: the expected line-up for the national team against Algeria

The national team is set to play against Algeria this Saturday, starting at 8 p.m, part of the quarter-finals in the 2021 Qatar FIFA Arab Cup.

Tonight’s game comes as a result of Morocco being the champion of Group C, with a total of 9 points, after winning all of its previous games against Palestine (4-0), Jordan (4-0), and Saudi Arabia (1-0).

Algeria came second in Group D, after Egypt, even both finished with a total of 7 points, Egypt’s “fair play” enabled it to end the playoffs at the top of its group.

The national team’s coach Houssain Ammouta is expected to choose for tonight’s game the goalkeeper Anas Zniti and among players, Soufiane Bouftini, Walid El Karti, Ismail Haddad, Walid Azarou, and Soufiane Rahimi.

It is also expected that the coach will rely on Mohamed Nahiri, Yahya Jabrane, Abdelilah Hafidi, Mohamed Chibi, Badr Bennoun, after scoring the main goals in the previous games.

Additionally, in the previous games, both players Abdelilah Hafidi and Yahya Jabrane were crowned Man of the Match award, following their good performance.

Tonight’s games between Group C and D include Morocco against Algeria, and Egypt against Jordan, enabling to define the two qualified for the semi-finals, set to take place on December 15.

As of yesterday, Tunisia and Qatar qualified for the semi-finals, following Tunisia’s win against Oman with 1 to 0, and Qatar with 5 to 0 against UAE.
