Morocco hosted 15.7 million tourists from January to end September 2026, up 5% compared to the same period in 2025, standing for 717,000 additional arrivals, according to the Ministry of Tourism, Handicrafts and Social and Solidarity Economy.

This momentum sped up in September with over 1.5 million tourists hosted, an additional 8% compared to September 2025, the Ministry specifies in a press release, adding that these results confirm the solid growth trajectory of Moroccan tourism and the destination’s ability to maintain its momentum beyond peak seasons.

“Moroccan tourism’s momentum continues, and its long-term potential remains considerable. The milestone of 26 million tourists by 2030 is closer than ever. Now remains the challenge of continuing on this path by generating more value, jobs, and opportunities across all our regions,” emphasized Fatim-Zahra Ammor, Minister of Tourism, Handicrafts, and the Social and Solidarity Economy, as quoted by the same source.
