The USD/MAD pair declined by 0.08% during the week of August 3 to 7, standing at 9.32, according to Attijari Global Research (AGR).
This change was notably driven by a basket effect of -0.09%, linked to the weakening of the dollar against the euro on the international market, AGR said in its latest “Weekly Mad Insights- Currencies” note.
The liquidity effect also came in at +0.01%, reflecting a very slight tightening of dirham liquidity conditions.
Liquidity spreads therefore widened by 1.1 basis points, reaching -2.54% at the end of the week, according to the same source.
