Morocco’s automotive exports rose 17.4% to 93.65 billion dirhams in the first half of 2026, helping push the country’s total exports up 9.7% year on year, the Foreign Exchange Office said.
The increase was driven by vehicle manufacturing exports, which climbed 26.7% to 37.93 billion dirhams, and wiring sales, which rose 13.9% to 35.05 billion dirhams, according to the office’s latest foreign trade bulletin.
Aerospace exports also increased sharply, rising 19.3% to 17.32 billion dirhams. Assembly sales grew 24.7%, while exports of electrical wiring interconnection systems increased 8.6%.
Agriculture and food industry exports rose 5.7%.
The gains offset declines in several other sectors. Textile and leather exports fell 6.5%, electronics and electrical goods dropped 4.4%, and phosphate and derivatives exports declined 2.3%.
Overall Moroccan exports reached 260.39 billion dirhams by the end of June.
