The death toll from the collapse of a residential building in the Moroccan city of Fez has risen to nine, a government official said Wednesday, as rescue teams continued recovery operations at the site.
Adib Benbrahim told Hespress AR that the updated toll followed ongoing efforts to retrieve victims from the rubble. He added that six people were injured in the incident.
The building, located in the Jerandi Ain Nokbi neighborhood in the Jnan El Ward district of Fez, collapsed earlier this week.
