RNI leader Mohamed Chouki said he plans to take legal action against anyone found to have fabricated, published or recirculated allegations he says have damaged his reputation.

In a public statement, Chouki said claims circulated in recent days through media outlets and on social platforms were “unfounded,” adding that repeated publication did not make them credible or shield those spreading them from legal responsibility.

He said he respected freedom of expression and criticism but argued that both must also respect individuals’ dignity and reputation.

Chouki said he had avoided public exchanges since the allegations emerged and would instead leave the matter to the courts, filing complaints against anyone shown to have fabricated or disseminated false claims.
