Abdellatif Hammouchi oversaw the distribution of housing units to 10 widows of police officers killed in the line of duty, Morocco’s national police service announced Tuesday.
The beneficiaries were received during the open days event organized by the General Directorate of National Security in Rabat.

According to the security service, the initiative reflects ongoing efforts to support police families, particularly widows and orphans of officers who died while carrying out their duties in service of public safety and national security.
Among the recipients were widows of officers who died in criminal attacks, including a police officer killed in the city of Imouzzer in an assault carried out by a mentally unstable suspect, as well as officers who died in traffic accidents while performing official duties.

The national police service said it has expanded social support programs for employees and their families through the Mohammed VI Foundation for Social Works of Police Employees, providing additional resources aimed at improving healthcare, social assistance and solidarity services for police personnel and their relatives.
