Youssef Zalal will headline the first UFC main event of his career on Saturday, when he faces former bantamweight champion Aljamain Sterling in the featherweight main event of UFC Fight Night: Sterling vs. Zalal in Las Vegas.
The moment feels bigger than just another fight night for the Moroccan devil as he enters the bout on an eight-fight win streak and becomes one of the division’s most intriguing names.
Official UFC market odds give him a narrow edge, with implied win probability around 54% to 44% in his favor,
Zalal entered the UFC in 2020 and opened with a promising streak of three straight wins.
He then hit a rough stretch and left the promotion in 2022. Instead of fading, he rebuilt his career outside the UFC and returned as a sharper, more complete fighter with deadly grappling skills.
