The Royal Moroccan Football Federation has scheduled two international friendlies against Norway and El Salvador as part of preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, according to Hesport sources familiar with the plan.

The agreement with both federations has reportedly been reached, with formal contracts expected to be signed before the fixtures are officially announced, including dates and venues.

The friendlies are part of Morocco’s preparation strategy to provide head coach and technical staff with high-level tests ahead of the tournament, focusing on evaluating player readiness against teams with differing tactical styles.

Officials aim to simulate competitive conditions similar to those expected at the World Cup, which Morocco is preparing for during the final stages of its buildup phase.

The draw for the 2026 World Cup placed Morocco in Group C alongside Brazil, Scotland, and Haiti.
