Local authorities in Sidi Kacem Province said they have completed the process of returning residents who were temporarily evacuated following recent extreme weather conditions.
In a statement, the provincial administration said the operation was carried out under the supervision of local authorities and relevant services, and that it took place in what it described as good conditions.
The move marks the final phase of precautionary measures aimed at ensuring a safe and organized return for affected residents, the statement said. Authorities added that the decision to allow residents back came after verifying that necessary safety requirements had been met, including infrastructure integrity and acceptable health and living conditions in the affected areas.
Officials said a comprehensive field assessment was conducted before the return process began to ensure that risks linked to flooding and damage to homes and road networks had been eliminated.
The statement also praised residents for what it described as a strong sense of responsibility and cooperation, noting their compliance with official instructions throughout both the evacuation and return phases.
Authorities said full mobilization would continue to provide support to affected households, including social assistance and technical interventions, until normal living conditions are fully restored in the impacted areas.
